Featured Sports Cards of the Week

This week, we are excited to showcase two exceptional athletes who are highly regarded in the world of sports. First, we have the Panini Donruss Optic Anthony Richardson Stars Rated Rookie. We pulled this card from a 2024 Championship Collection Football tin purchased at Walmart. This particular variation of his rookie card is a super short print from the collection, making it a rare find.  Richardson, a dual-threat second-year quarterback for the Colts, faced injury setbacks during the 2023 season but demonstrated glimpses of his immense potential. He will start the 2024 season as one of the hottest chases for sports card enthusiasts and is predicted to exceed all expectations.

Second, we are featuring this 2023 Parkside USWNT Trinity Rodman graded a PSA 10. We acquired this card through an eBay purchase as part of our expansion into women’s sports cards, now including soccer. Rodman, who was drafted in 2021 by the Washington Spirit, is set to make her Olympic debut this week at the 2024 Paris Games as a member of Team USA. Having been part of the US women’s national team since the age of 17, Rodman boasts an impressive list of accolades, including an NWSL Championship, NWSL Rookie of the Year, and U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year in 2021.

Featured Athlete – Gabby Thomas

In celebration of the commencement of the Paris Olympic Games, we are thrilled to showcase the exceptional track and field athlete, Gabby Thomas. Thomas had an extraordinary Olympic journey, securing an impressive collection of three gold medals. She triumphed in the highly competitive 200-meter dash and played a pivotal role in the triumphant 4×400-meter relay, setting a new American record with a remarkable time of 3:15.27. Additionally, Thomas contributed to the success of the 4×100-meter relay team.

By accomplishing this feat, Thomas joins an exclusive group of only five female track and field athletes in history to achieve three gold medals in the same Olympics. She is the first to accomplish this since Allyson Felix in 2012. Beyond her athletic dominance, Thomas possesses exceptional academic achievements. As an alumna of Harvard University and the University of Texas, she holds a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology. When she is not excelling on the track, Thomas generously dedicates her time to volunteering at a healthcare clinic in Austin, Texas, providing assistance to individuals who do not have access to insurance.
