In celebration of the recent selection of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese to the WNBA All-Star Team, CCPullz is excited to feature these two talented athletes this week. This marks the first time since 2014 that two WNBA rookies have been selected to play in the All-Star Game. 

Known for their intense on-court rivalry from their college days at Iowa and LSU respectively, to their current teams in the WNBA (Clark with the Indiana Fever and Reese with the Chicago Sky), these two athletes have captivated the attention of women’s basketball fans across the globe. Their competitive spirit and skill have even drawn comparisons to the iconic Magic Johnson and Larry Bird feud.

Caitlin Clark, in particular, has emerged as a frontrunner in women’s basketball, garnering significant fan support and recognition. Her overwhelming popularity is not surprising, given the immense attention she has brought to the sport. Clark’s achievements include being named Rookie of the Month in May and leading all rookies in scoring with an impressive average of 16.2 points per game. She also leads in assists with 6.9 per game and ranks second league-wide in 3-pointers made with 56. Beyond her on-court dominance, Clark has become a truly transformative figure in women’s sports.

Angel Reese, another talented rookie, was named Rookie of the Month for June. She recently made history by setting a new WNBA record with 10 consecutive double-doubles and leading the league in offensive rebounding. Nevertheless, with the sheer depth and skill on Team USA’s roster, they are seen as the favorites to emerge victorious.
